About NAC
Numismatica Ars Classica (NAC), founded in 1988, makes its debut in 1989 with its first
auction sale; since then no less than 48 sales have followed, of which 26 marked by
a progressive number, others by letters or by the name of the collection to be
dispersed and 10 in connection with colleagues. The very high quality of the
coins in offering (particularly in the numbered series) and the editorial
refinement of the catalogues cast, almost immediately, NAC among the leading
firms of the world. It can be affirmed, without false modesty, that its sales
form a series of auctions amidst the most prestigious in the history of the
numismatic trade.
The activity of NAC, however, does not confine itself to the sole organization
of auction sales, but also constitutes a steady reference point of absolute
confidence to the collectors of the whole world, both for their immediate
purchase of coins from its stock and for representing them at the public sales.
Of high international prestige is the editorial involvement of NAC,
as copublisher, with the Bibliothèque Nationale de France in the
carrying out of the Sylloge of the Greek coins of the said Bibliothèque,
basic and monumental work on Greek coinage.
